“Islam has always been a part of America’s story”
(Barrack Hussein Obama, June 4, 2009, Cairo, Egypt)
The statement written above is true, for if we look back at the Islamic history, we there are many significant and marked incidents which took place in America that led to distortion of Islam and Muslim perceptions within the United States. Rest of the events such as US Civil war, and then Alexander Russell Bell -- the only person to represent Islam in the first Congress of world religions and then the Black Muslim movement in America – from there to onwards, Islam goeson spreading within the communities and several groups of Muslims came on the screen to work for Islam.
As the axiom goes that “past performance is the best indicator for future behavior”. Same happened with Americans, the teachings of Islam and Quran were interpreted much by the Muslims living there and it always resulted giving a better future for Islam . but at the same time there were many conflicts between Muslims and non Muslims, because of certain laws and rules, for example Islamic law states that the non Muslims can not pair their places of worships and
-suicide bombing & terrorist attacks
- women wearing burkas
-men’s faces covered with scarves
- Militants with machine guns
- Shouting in Arabic, burning cars in Paris
- Death penalty of leaving Islam
- Videos of hostages beheaded
- Riots over Dutch cartoons
- Threats on the pope
- cheering when twin towers fell on 911
Whence Americans used to consider Muslims as terrorists and Islam as the religion of terrorism, whereas Islam is true religion of peace and those who study Islam and Quran, they know truely the amicable and calm behavior of Islamic teachings.
